Transportation at Walt Disney World

There's no feeling more exciting than driving under the Walt Disney World entrance sign! That is the official start to your magical Disney vacation.


Then it's time to check-in at your hotel, unpack, grab a snack and decide where to go first! But... how do you get there? Driving is a hassle, Uber is expensive, flying cars haven't been invented yet...


Lucky for you, Walt Disney World offers multiple transportation options to and from your Disney Resort Hotel, and we're going to cover four of them today!

Disney Bus Transportation

Looking to get places from your resort hotel? The bus system is a classic option, and with departures every 20 minutes, it's fast, too!

Simply ask your resort front desk where the bus station is located, and be on your way!


Buses will take you to:

- All theme parks

- Both water parks

AND

- Disney Springs


Insider Tips:

- Ask your bus driver about the pick-up location for return service back to your resort. - Be sure to ask your resort front desk about the bus schedule, as it differs by route.

Disney Monorail Transportation

The monorail is a transportation option offered at select hotels, but any resort guest can board one! Whether you board from a hotel, a theme park or the Transportation and Ticket Center, the monorail is a peaceful ride high in the sky.


Disney Monorails... The Resort Monorail makes stops at:

- Magic Kingdom park

- Disney's Contemporary Resort

- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

- Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

AND - The Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)

The Epcot Monorail takes you to: - Epcot - Back to the TTC


The Express Monorail takes you to: - Magic Kingdom - Back to the TTC



Disney Water Transportation

A boat ride at Walt Disney World is possibly one of the most relaxing transportation options anywhere. Whether it's a ferryboat, a friendship boat or a water taxi, you can't go wrong with one of these 15-30 minute journeys! This fleet of watercraft is an attraction all its own.
